Our players in U10s are players born between 2016 and later. U10s is geared towards the players having fun on the ice and developing their love of the game.
The sessions are accessible to players of all abilities ensuring they have fun getting involved with battling for the puck!
CROSS ICE
The U10s play in cross-ice tournaments against other ice hockey clubs. Two games run concurrently across the width of the rink and scores/stats are NOT recorded and there are line changes every 60 seconds on a buzzer.
Body Checking is not allowed at U10s.
FUNDAMENTALS
U10s is a the first and base entry point to ice hockey competition which is the key foundation stage where players expanded on the fundamental skills required for the sport whilst teaching important intangible skills such as, Sportsmanship, Team work, Communication and Work ethic. The Environment is supportive, informative, engaging and encouraging focusing on teaching life skills and the basic needs of the sport on the ice.
Enjoyment is at the forefront of what we preach and pushing the children to “Be Your Best”
The Basic individual and Team skills are practiced and harnessed on training sessions whilst keeping them fun and engaging and introducing competition to the players.
